A.S.K. is a Sarnia based, non-profit foundation, formulated by concerned citizens to "Assist Successful Knowledge" with computers for kids. Through the generous donations of computers by local businesses, A.S.K. is able to place computers in the homes of special needs children. The foundation operates completely through the generosity of companies and individuals who donate time, equipment and money to assist people in attaining a higher level of success in whatever field they have chosen. All services offered are specifically laid out in The A.S.K. Foundation's guidelines and approved through it's Board of Directors. |
The A.S.K. Foundation's goal is to assist children in remaining in the main stream of our educational system or in returning to school through the Adult Learning Centre. Consideration is given to those who need but cannot afford computer equipment, and access such equipment will enhance their way of life.
The A.S.K. Foundation operates totally on the generosity of companies and individuals who wish to help lower our taxes through assisting the less fortunate in becoming an asset instead of a liability to their community.
A.S.K. accepts donations of computers, hardware, software and monetary assistance to aid in the purchase of necessities for the program. Computers are prepared and programmed to suit each successful applicant.
A.S.K. began in Sarnia, and now has grown to Stoney Creek, Grand Bend, Chatham, Hamilton, Wallaceburg and Windsor. As more Canadian businesses and concerned individuals become involved, we hope to touch the lives of children in other cities all across Canada.
A.S.K. hopes that as companies and individuals up-grade their computer systems, they will consider donating their used equipment to this program. We accept almost anything, from motherboards to complete systems. The program is always in need of monitors and other basic necessities such as: hard drives, VGA cards, sound cards, modems, simms, printers, disks, etc.
