When the scenery and walks in the woods near the cabin pall there are many other interesting things to see and do. The Blue Ridge Parkway
The parkway is one of our most favorite places to visit. We go on the parkway every chance we get in the summer months. The entrance is about 3 miles from here. It really doesn't matter whether you're a first-time visitor or have been on this scenic motor road times, each trip the Parkway always seems to offer something new.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The park is open year-round. No entrance fee is charged to enter the Park. Operations are supported by modest fees charged at campgrounds and for special programs developed by Park Rangers and volunteers.

Great Smoky Mountain Railway
The Great Smoky Mountains Railway is now in its eleventh year of providing railway round trip excursions to tourists. Passengers ride comfortable, reconditioned coaches, crown coaches, club cars, dining cars, cabooses, and open cars which are ideal for viewing and picture taking of the the magnificent Great Smoky Mountains, winding rivers, and lakes.

Dollywood Theme Park
Dollywood, the "Entertainment Capitol of the Smokies", features a unique variety of music, crafts, attractions, and rides, including over 40 live performances every day, over 20 different crafts and the fun and excitement of 30 rides and attractions for kids of all ages. Families and couples alike will enjoy sharing this unique entertainment experience.

Harrah's Cherokee Casino
Enjoy beautiful surroundings of this unique facility with its native American and mountain lodge theme. Located next to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and featuring The 20,000 square-foot Cherokee Pavilion with three signature restaurants.

Unto These Hills/Cherokee Indian Village
This Cherokee site is just a beautiful Indian Reservation with amenities galore. Outdoor play and Indian Village, culture, scenery, fishing, gambling, you name it, Cherokee's got it.

Biltmore House and Gardens
Located about 65 miles from the cabin in Asheville, NC, this huge mansion was built by the Vanderbilts some 100 years ago.
